3.5" pots of White Sage grown from organic seed. Woody perennial native to CA hardy in zones 8-12. It is the most valued North American Sage, often burned ceremonially and used for its sweet aroma-therapeutic effects. Its flowers are light blue on multiple upright racemes that can obtain heights of 6'. Foliage is light green to white when the plant is young, and turns very white as the plant matures, and especially after drying the leaves. Protect from cold, wet conditions. Plant thrives in sunny, sandy, dry to mesic, well-drained soil. Space 3 feet apart or keep in potted culture. The plants can be grown indoors under a grow light or in an atrium-like room which is highly recommended during the winter here in NC. I have left mine outside for the winter, but they survived because they were in a makeshift greenhouse.
