I bought this as a 1 year old unit to replace the heat pump in my home. After waiting a year to finish the remodel my hvac guy said the furnace could not be installed horizontally in the crawl space and sold me a new one . Last year another guy said it could be installed either way so now I am hoping to sell it for what I paid . just looking at the quality of the materials vs. the $8k American standard gold series he installed this unit really seems a lot better made. I am not sure but the furnace natural gas is at least 85% on efficiency .
