Homeschool Explorers Field Trip – Town Creek Indian Mound
We’re excited to share that our Homeschool Explorers group will be taking another trip to Town Creek Indian Mound!
We know many of you joined us for this trip last year, and if you’d prefer not to repeat it, we completely understand. However, with so many new families in our group this year, we wanted to offer this opportunity again for those who may have missed it.
During our visit, we’ll:
- Tour the site and learn about the history and culture of the Native people who once lived there.
- Explore the reconstructed ceremonial center, houses, and palisade walls to better understand daily life and traditions.
- Participate in hands-on learning activities that bring history to life.
- Have the option to create a clay pinch pot, just as people of that time once did (this activity is optional and costs $2 per person).
There is no charge to attend the field trip itself—only the optional pinch pot activity.
This is always a memorable and educational trip, and we look forward to another day of discovery, learning, and fun together!
Registration information will be sent via email to the families on our homeschool distribution list. If you’d like to be added to the list, please contact, show contact info
