condition: good
The last one that surfaced on ebay brought over $700 after shipping and it wasn't an amplified version! Mine is the amplified version, which is the far more rare and more sought after model. BTW, that $700 was past sales, meaning YES IT SOLD FOR THAT PRICE. That wasn't a "lets throw that price out and see if anyone is stupid enough to pay that". That's what it actually sold for. Theirs was serviced. Mine "wants to work" but I don't think it really works completely. Now its important to point out that I'm using OLD 8-track tapes that I got at the restore that have no labels and may or may not be any good in the 1st place. I also don't really know what Im doing. I did a bit of research on these and they are considered "extremely rare and valuable EVEN IF THEY DON'T WORK". There's so few of these on the planet that they'll bring hundreds not even working at all. I was told there's some lube under the wheels that dries out, and once you lube them they work again. It could literally be that simple. Or it might work as is if I had some decent tapes to test it on. So there could be nothing wrong with it at all. Then again it may need a belt (does it have a belt?) or more. It lights up, and at times I can get it to spin around and play a little of each tape. I haven't tested power yet (to speakers).
Im asking $400 cash DEAD FIRM. Look. Its worth $400 to look at it. Its a cool piece of audiophile history and its as rare as it gets. Most people don't even know these exist. I don't care if it works or not, its $400 or it stays here on display for others to see. That simple. Id rather get it to someone who can get it working like a charm and put it on a display where others can see it. (like a museum). Again $400 either way. Id rather NOT ship it, but if you arrange U-ship it, ill do that at YOUR expense. Its kinda heavy. Tapes are not included. I have other 8-track players to test with them.
I'm also selling other 8 track players (SOLD), a very old and rare cassette deck, some reel to reel players (SOLD), etc. I also have electronics, Amps, receivers, home theaters, speakers, cassette decks, VCRs, a huge VCR tape lot ($25), a lot of 3 Gerard turntables that need needles for $75 (no albums, sorry), and more. Currently sold out of vintage receivers except for my Technics listed here for $75 with cassette deck and speakers. I've been an audiophile for a while. Don't call thinking I'm some crackhead giving stuff away. I know the values of most of what I have. My prices are fair, and I sell the heck out of it all, but Im not stupid. I also have NOTHING that's mint or pristine. So no "condescending collectors" please. This unit has excellent condition woodgrain but to be thorough I noticed the finish peeling at one corner when you touch it just right. Otherwise Id say 7 out of 10 with light scratches.
Call ONLY if you want to buy it. I delete things that sell immediately so if its listed YES I have it. No texts! No email! No messenger bs. I use a voice phone. 336 dash 22 five dash 1445. NO TEXTS! you too can own one of the coolest old pieces of audio history the world has ever seen with a phone call and four $100 bills!

Just in, I also have Criterion Juliette speakers in woodgrain lattice front walnut enclosures, Nova 60 lattice front speakers, and JUST IN TODAY I have a total of 4 matching Sansui 5 way speakers!!! Those will be pricey. I have a 5th Sansui as well. Also have more 8 track players now, turntables, cassette decks, tuners, receivers, amps, and EQs. Bands like Marantz, Sansui, Pioneer, JVC etc. Im selling it fast. CALL.
