The U.S. Mint made four new nickel designs in 2004 as part of the Westward Journey Nickel Series. These special nickels celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. It was the first time the nickel design changed in 66 years. Here are two of the sets, one honoring the Louisianan Purchase and the other the Keelboat they used during the Lewis & Clark expedition. Each set has an uncirculated Denver Mint and Philadelphia Mint coin, along with two that are gold plated. I meet at the Food Lion in Randleman, NC if interested. #coins
