In 2009, the U.S. Mint made four special penny designs to celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday. It was also the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln penny, which the Mint first made in 1909. The image of Lincoln remained on the obverse (heads) of all four cents in the new program. The reverse (tails) included four different designs from important phases of Lincoln’s life, from his birth all the way to when he was president. In addition, these special Proof Lincoln Cents were made from the original 95% copper alloy used in the original 1909 Penny.
Each set contains one Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Kennedy Half Dollar, Native American “Golden” Dollar, District of Columbia Quarter, Puerto Rico Quarter, Guam Quarter, American Samoa Quarter, U.S. Virgin Islands Quarter, and Northern Mariana Islands Quarter. Originally this set came with case of (4) dollar coins, but these have been removed from the set. I meet at the Food Lion in Randleman, NC if interested. #coins
