The Stone Mountain Memorial silver half dollar was an American fifty-cent piece coin struck in 1925 at the Philadelphia Mint. Its main purpose was to raise money on behalf of the Stone Mountain Confederate Monumental Association for the Stone Mountain Memorial near Atlanta, Georgia, depicting three Confederate figures of the Civil War, President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson. The entire carved surface measures three-acres, larger than a football field and Mount Rushmore. I meet at the Food Lion in Randleman, NC if interested. #silver #coins #CivilWar #stonemountain
